Coral Sea Marina- Airlie Beach Queensland

Coral Sea Marina
Tucked beside the vibrant heart of Airlie Beach, Coral Sea Marina is more than just a place to tie up a boat - it’s the gateway to adventure in the Whitsundays. Widely regarded as one of Australia’s most prestigious marinas, it proudly holds 5 Gold Anchor Platinum Marina Accreditation, has been named Best Superyacht Marina in the World at the ACREW Superyacht Business Awards, and was inducted into the Australian Marina Hall of Fame in 2021. These accolades aren’t just titles. They’re a reflection of the exceptional experience that awaits from the moment you arrive.

Reaching the marina is part of the experience itself. A leisurely stroll along the scenic Bicentennial Walkway leads you from Airlie Beach’s main street directly to the water’s edge, where palm trees frame views of turquoise seas and gently rocking yachts. For those arriving by car, a short two-minute drive over the hill offers a breathtaking bird’s-eye view of the marina below. Paid parking is available at both ends of the marina, just download the ‘Care park’ app and pay via eftpos, making it easy to leave your car behind while you set off to explore the islands and open waters of the Coral Sea.

Due to its impressive size, Coral Sea Marina is divided into two distinct areas. The North and South villages. Understanding which end you’re heading to can make all the difference, transforming your morning from one of mild confusion into one filled with excitement and anticipation. A quick check on Google Maps before you arrive is often all it takes to start your day feeling relaxed and confident.

The North End is a lively hub, buzzing with the energy of travellers heading out on day trips and overnight catamaran adventures. This is where you’ll find Meeting Point B, clearly marked beneath umbrellas behind the roundabout. Nearby, Le’kiosk offers the perfect last-minute stop for coffee, snacks, sunscreen, or anything else you may have forgotten in the rush for departure. Just steps away, Sorrento’s Bar and Restaurant overlooks the marina, inviting you to return later in the day to watch the sun sink behind the masts as you relive the highlights of your Whitsundays adventure with old and new friends alike.
